Meet the enterprises at our Impact Chains market

In2EdAfrica Market Stall and 'Kid Entrepreneurs'

A new generation of ‘kidpreneurs’ making impact at In2EdAfrica - “99% Kindness, 99% Courage, 99% Gratitude” - Marley, In2EdAfrica

It’s no secret that here at Think Enough we’re a little obsessed with for-purpose business.

So when the chance came up to collaborate with some brilliant partners at Social Traders and The South Australian Social Enterprise Council to deliver a for-purpose market at the recent Impact Chains event - we couldn’t resist!

This was not your typical conference.

Set in the challenging setting of the Old Adelaide Gaol, Impact Chains brought people together to explore, discuss, motivate and imagine how we can all drive positive change with what we have.

Produced by Collab4Good it lived up to its collaborative DNA and was hands-on, interactive and equal parts confronting and inspiring.

As both a participant and an activator, our South Australian lead and co-founder Ari got to wear multiple hats and enjoy the benefits of sharing Think Enough’s vision with some of Adelaide’s great impact thinkers.

While the day was full of highlights including enjoying lunch from Something Wild and dinner boxes by The Foodprint Experience, drinking Sparkke beer, Goodwill Wine and SOBAH beverages -  it was the evening networking event that we were [obviously] most excited about.

Storytelling & a for-purpose market

Alongside our partners we created a pop-up showcase and market of nine fantastic social enterprises, covering a diverse range of industries and impact models.

Each enterprise had the opportunity to showcase their business model and offerings to attendees and tell the story of how and why they create their impact.

Meet the enterprises…

Cafe Outside the Square and The Foodprint Experience both joined as excellent examples of consumer-facing social enterprises creating impact through hospitality [check them out on the think enough directory!].

Graphic design studio Blend Creative and diversity and inclusion firm Community Corporate showed how purpose-led business services can create impact.

One Culture football club, In2EdAfrica (with its fantastic “kidpreneurs”), yourtown property, grounds or building maintenance, UNCROWD education and St John Ambulance SA demonstrated the power of social enterprises to create meaningful change for the community.

Getting people excited about for-purpose businesses

Each of these businesses are tackling challenging social and/or environmental challenges while delivering quality services and products, and it was so fulfilling to see attendees engaged, excited and building connections.

Getting people excited about impact by connecting them to existing solutions and great for-purpose businesses is what we exist to do. Just by showing people how many amazing options there are to create impact everyday we can plant the seed that helps them grow into more conscious buyers.

So when an attendee said to Ari “thanks for putting this on, it really gives me hope to see so many of these things already out there happening!” - we knew we’re on the right path!
