Shampoo bottles are old news! I have wanted to get rid of these for such a long time... And there's an easy way to do it. SHAMPOO BARS!

Marta lives in the Gold Coast and has spent a long time testing and trialling a number of shampoo bars without ever finding one that was just right. So she made it! @elisir.beauty is her small business and her big dream. One which combines love and support for local business, natural ingredients and 100% plastic-free! Elisir shampoo bars are handmade in beautiful small batches, using everything your hair needs and ditching what it doesn't. No sulphates, parabens, silicones and synthetic fragrances, I'm told.

It's been lovely to hear Marta's excitement in talking about her local suppliers, a selection of great businesses supporting both social and environmental missions and providing her with the very best ingredients for her bars. Not only on the inside, but even the packaging comes straight from a local eco-friendly printer, incorporating sustainability in every step of the supply chain. "My aim for the future is to cultivate strong relationships with great organisations that educate people about plastic-free living and organise big ocean clean-ups", big causes which lie at the heart of this wonderful business.

You can find Elisir shampoo bars (and say hi to Marta!) at the Village Markets in Burleigh Heads amongst other local handmade products from the Gold Coast or, by signing up on the website, you'll be one of the first to hear about the big launch offer - coming soon. Yup, we've definitely done that already! πŸ’™

Marta will also be pitching her beautiful local and sustainable business with us on Wednesday night, so if you're keen to hear a little more from her come and join in the conversation. "Be part of the solution, not part of the pollution" says @elisir.beauty
